Most teachers can teach in both English and German. Where one or the other language is not catered for other arrangements are made. We hope that by the end of the training all students will be bi-lingual.

Brigitte Reepmaker Studies and travelling brought Brigitte Reepmaker among other towns also to Paris, where art became her life-theme. After taking part in a Shakespeare project in England she studied Eurythmy in Vienna, and Therapeutic Eurythmy again in England. In 1991 she co-founded the Eurythmy Theatre Fundevogel. Apart from the artistic work she also taught Eurythmy in a Waldorf School and she worked as a therapist. She performed in and toured with ‘Die Zottelhaube’, ‘Schattenpuppen’, Schneewittchen’, ‘Movimento’ and ‘Danubio im Traumwasser’ with Fundevogel. The last productions were ‘Terang Bulang’ and ‘The Soldiers Tale’. 2002/2003 she was member of the international Company Maison des Mimages and performed in ‘Mimages – a Symphony in Movement’. She has also studied Spiraldynamic® and she is basic teacher of the Franklin® method. At this time she teaches students of the Academy of Living Movement as well as students of the Waldorf Teachers Training at the Zentrum für Kultur und Pädagogik, which she has both co-founded.

Ernst Reepmaker was born in 1957 in Oegstgeest, near the North Sea coast in Holland and he grew up, surrounded by water, on the Isle of Dordrecht. The water-element formed and determined him, and so a strong connection to the dream and image side of life is a fundamental thread of his biography. After his Museology study he worked as a museum pedagogue in the Museum of Anthropology in Leiden. Here he studied and practiced the oral traditions and the music of the non western world.
Following his inner striving for transformation and change he studied Eurythmy in The Hague and followed several post graduate courses with amongst others Elena Zuccoli, Don Vollen, Elisabeth von Stockar. In Vienna he taught Eurythmy and Theatre at one of the Waldorf Schools and he co-founded the Eurythmy Theatre Company Fundevogel for which he worked as performer, director, manager and producer for over 13 years. He founded the association of eurythmists in Austria and from 1997 until 2001 he was chairman of ASSITEJ, Austria, association of free theatre groups for children and juveniles (a UNESCO institution). In 2002 he founded the international "Company Maison des Mimages" with a cast of nineteen stage artists and musicians and with them he produced ‘Mimages – a Symphony in Movement’, which was successfully performed on 17 larger stages in Europe. In 2004 he co-founded the Academy of Living Movement, where he again teaches, directs and produces. Finally Ernst Reepmaker is teaching Eurythmy at the Waldorf Teachers Training of the Zentrum für Kultur und Pädagogik, which he also co-founded.

Hans Fors studied Eurythmy from 1973 until 1977 in Järna, Sweden and immediately after he had graduated became a member of the Eurythmy Ensemble there (until 1997). Between 1979 and 1999 he taught at the Eurythmy Training in Järna and he created and choreographed performances in churches, open air festivals and other provisory stages, like staircases. With this Ensemble he toured several times through the north and the middle of Europe. He also taught poetry, emphasising contemporary currents. Together with Marianne Kleiser-Fors he created ‘Lightpieces’ in 1998. He was a member of the Black Earth project, directed by Christopher Marcus 1999/2000 for Circle-X. Together with Marianne Kleiser-Fors, Alexander Seeger and Melaine MacDonald he performed in ‘Four Pieces’ (2001-2002) and again with Marianne Kleiser in ‘Islands’, devised by Cecilia Bertoni (2003). Hans Fors also performed in ‘Mimages…’ (2002/2003). From the very start Hans has always striven to integrate eurythmy in the currents of Modern Dance, and co-founding the Academy of Living Movement was a natural step in this direction.

Marianne Fors was born in 1954 in Oslo, Norway. At the age of 17 she started to work as an actress in films and she was a dancer in a movement choir at the Salzburger Festspiele, in a renaissance opera with the choreography created by the legendary Kurt Joos. She was also active in amateur-theatres and free dance projects. From 1978 until 1982 she studied Eurythmy in Järna, Sweden and after her graduation she worked in a Camphill Institute. 1983 – 1997 she performed with the Eurythmy Ensemble Järna and toured through larger parts of Europe. Apart from that she did solo work and she performed in smaller companies. At the same time Marianne Kleiser was also teaching Eurythmy at a Waldorf School and at the Eurythmy Training in Järna (from 1990). Since 1996 she studies modern poetry and music together with her partner Hans Fors and with him she created ‘Lightpieces’. Since 1999 she works as a freelance artist and pedagogue. In 1999/2000 Marianne joined the Circle-X Arts Company and performed in ‘Black Earth’ and after this in a stage-project (with Seeger, Fors and MacDonald) on tour with ‘Four Pieces’. In 2002/2003 she was a member of the international "Company Maison des Mimages" and on tour with ‘Mimages…’ Out of this international co-operation in 2004 naturally evolved the Academy of Living Movement in Vienna, where Marianne teaches with great enthusiasm!

Philip Beaven MA Born and brought up in the UK, he studied eurythmy with the late Marguerite Lundgren in London. He co-founded Ashdown Eurythmy in 1980 which became the world's first paid, full-time touring eurythmy company. In 1991 he co-founded and directed English Eurythmy Theatre (which later became Moving Word Theatre) to explore, in performance, how eurythmy can co-create with theatre and dance. Their productions have toured all over Europe and the US. This opened up his interest for other performance forms which he has explored through workshops, as well as studying Directing in Collaborative Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London. He has recently performed in "NoTears" (as a movement performer) with PACK, and as an actor/storyteller/puppeteer in "Samahd and the Suitcase", the latest production of Moving Word Theatre. Currently he is creating an outdoor site specific event on a farm in Sussex for the autumn of 2007. As well as performing and directing (devising, eurythmy, theatre, storytelling, puppetry) he teaches movement improvisation, neutral mask, theatre/performance skills, devising and eurythmy.
